Professor Bagher Fardanesh earned his Ph.D., M.P.A., and B.S. from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Having a multidisciplinary academic background, he has been teaching a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including international business, international management, and strategic management. Professor Fardanesh has more than twenty-five years teaching experience in the United States and overseas

He is the founder of Farco International, a management consulting firm in Boulder, Colorado, and served as the chair of a World Affairs Conference at the University of Colorado. He has given numerous seminars and conducted management consulting in the United States, Canada, the Middle East, and Western Europe. In his professional practice, he has served organizations such as the international operations of General Motors, Noranda Centre de Technologie in Quebec, the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland Workforce Development Association, Lockheed Martin, World Trade Center Institute, TRADOC Cultural Summit IV, and National Contract Management Association (NCMA). Dr. Fardanesh has been on the review panel for selected marketing and management textbooks of the McGraw Hill and Irwin publishing company.

Dr. Fardanesh is a world traveler who has lived in several countries in the Middle East and Western Europe, as well as in the United States and Canada. He is multi-lingual with an in-depth appreciation and understanding of multicultural settings. Recently, he was appointed by Governor Martin O'Malley as Commissioner for the Governor's Commission on Middle Eastern American Affairs.
